Peacefully, with family by his side on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Millie for 63 years. Loving father of Debbie Birkenbergs (Arthur), Dan (Marie), Mark and Marianne Merrick (Michael). Cherished Grandpa of Dan, Erin, Mike, Brian, Stephen, Austin, Beth, Kaylee and Shaylin. Adored Great-Grandpa of Tristyn, Leia, Ainsley, Misia and Samuel. Dear brother of Margaret (Lloyd), Leo (Cynthia), Dianne (Gerard), Noreen (Keith), Blair (Jeanette), Norbert and the late Carl (Eileen) and Ruby.
