KELLY, Violet ‘Vi’ Dinah (nee O’Brien) Born December 25, 1933. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Violet in her 84th year on August 8, 2017 at Scarborough General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Stuart and Violet (Parker) O’Brien of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Also preceded in death by her partner Maxwell Wiseman in 2004 and by her husband Gordon Kelly in 1995. Survived by her three children Deborah Jean Kelly (Robert and Eric), Ann Marie Kelly and Paul John Kelly (Amanda). Dear sister to Elizabeth McCullough (William) and auntie to Martin McCullough and Naomi (McCullough) Patton. She will truly be missed by extended family and by her friends at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 11. As per Violet’s instructions, cremation has taken place with the support of Highland Funeral Homes, 3280 Sheppard Ave. East and Highland Memorial Gardens, 33 Memory Gardens Lane. A celebration of Violet’s life will be held on the Saturday, September 23rd at 3 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 11), 9 Dawes Road, Toronto, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army in Violet’s name would be greatly appreciated.
