SUTHERLAND, Violet “Lorraine” (Nee Rycroft) With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lorraine in her 100th year on May 22, 2017 at Shalom Village Long Term Care Facility. Predeceased by her lovely husband of 58 years, John Norman Sutherland. Will be missed by her loving family. Mother to Norman (Afifa), Donald (Jacqueline), Ruth and Barbara (Albert Liddiard). Grandmother to Neil (Elena Aminkova), Jay, Elizabeth (Dave Oliver) and Graham (Ellen Simone). Great-grandmother to Meredith and Jackson. The family wishes to thanks the management and staff members at Shalom Village for their loving care. Lorraine enjoyed travelling and had a passion for knitting, knitting many premies at McMaster their first hats. She was also a member of the bridge club and a lifetime member of IODE and an avid fan of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The family will receive friends at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL, (King Street East at Wellington) Hamilton, 905-522-2496 on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. John Anglican Church, 320 Charlton Avenue West, Hamilton on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. If so desired, a donation to the Alzhemier’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
