VIOLETTA MURIEL HAMILL It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at The Village of Humber Heights at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Leonard for 66 years. Cherished mother of Vivian (Bruce) Smith, Louise (Bill, predeceased) Burton and Cheryl (Carl) Pike. Loving grandmother of Pamela (Tony), Dianne, Samantha (Jeff), Victoria, Michael (Jen), Kyle (Rena) and Katie. Proud great-grandmother of Lilly, Mihali “Michael”, Caleb and Emma. Predeceased by her sister Ethel (Bob, predeceased). Survived by her sister Kathryn (Jerry, predeceased). She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Vi will be remembered fondly by her Westway United Church family and friends and those who cared for her and loved her at The Village of Humber Heights. Visitation to be held at the Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Rd. in Etobicoke (at Hwy. 27), 416-679-1803 on Monday, November 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A funeral service will be held in the Glendale Chapel immediately after the visitation at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
