VIRGINIA HOAD (nee DAQUANO) January 1, 1914 – January 24, 2017 Virginia passed away peacefully at Silverthorn Care Community, Mississauga, after a long and full life spanning 103 years. Devoted wife of 68 years to the late Alvin Hoad. Cherished mother of Ken and David (Bunny). Loving grandmother of Christopher (Laura) and Michael. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Rose Daquano of Toronto. Dear sister of the late Theadora, Helen, Teresa, Fred and Nick. Virginia found strength in her faith and joy in the love of her family. Her special delight was her two grandsons in whom she took enormous pride. She will be remembered for her strong and independent spirit and her ability to see the humour in life until her final days. Her values that she instilled will endure forever in the lives of everyone that she touched. Many, many thanks to the wonderful staff at Silverthorn Care Community for its outstanding care and compassion. A family service will be held at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church, Mississauga.
