Sybil Mary WALKER
WALKER, Sybil Mary Passed away July 21, 2016 in her 89th year. She is survived by her loving husband Dennis in their 63rd year of marriage and by her siblings Marion (Bernhard), Jennifer (Michael), Cynthia (Fred), and Eric (Pam). Sybil will be greatly missed by her sons Stephen, Brian (Wendy) and grandchildren Corey, Lucas (Riley), Kyle (Cynthia), Trevor and Myles. She will also be missed by many other relatives and friends in England and Canada. Sybil was born in Norfok, England. In England she taught in London and Leicester. Sybil and Dennis married in England in 1953 and emigrated to Canada the same year. Sybil received her BA degree at McMaster University in 1983 and was a teacher in the Hamilton Public Schools. Music was one of Sybil’s major interests; she sang in the Bach Elgar Choir, the Mohawk Singers, the Sackville Senior Centre Singers and the Unitarian Church Choir. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life service at the First Unitarian Church of Hamilton at 170 Dundurn Street South, Hamilton at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016.
