WILKINS, George Elmer It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Wilkins on January 7, 2017 at the Village of Wentworth Heights at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (nee Benson). Loving father of Linda Colling (Rick) and the late Karen Court (Ron). Dear grampie of David, Gary, Michelle, Mike, Andrea and Kim. Great-grampie of Shaley, Gabe, Shane, Nathan, and Phoenix. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. George was a retired employee of Stelco with 37 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the Air Force and was a member of the Canadian Legion Branch 163. He will be missed by his euchre friends from Olivet Church and the many games that were played. Visitation will be held at P.X DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Tuesday, January 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 11 at 11 a.m. Burial to take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
