William (Bill) HAWKINS
July 26, 1931 – March 16, 2017
“The Hawk” peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness at Billings Court Manor in Burlington, Ontario, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Susan, adored father of daughters Laura (Bill) and Kellie and beloved grandchildren Devin, Sheridan and Joshua.
Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather, his family meant the world to him. He was larger than life and a man who captured the hearts of anyone that had the privilege of meeting him, always a welcoming smile on his face, a wonderful sense of humour and zest for life. He had a great love of the outdoors, fishing, travelling and lived a life of many adventures. His love of music started at the young age of 14. He was a well-known talented Toronto singer that played with Stanley St. John at Royal York Hotel. He had his own band EZ Jazz. He was member of the musicians union for many years. Sincere thanks to all the staff at Billings Court Manor for their exceptional care, support and love they showed him. Family will have a private celebration of life.
