WILLIAM (BILL) O’BRIEN August 16, 1939 – February 18, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Willie O’Brien on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in his 78th year. A loving and devoted friend and husband of 48 years to Mary Kearney. Father to Laurie and Patrick (Karen). Grandfather to Devin, Sean, Chelsea, Kailey, Mathew and Steven. Dear brother to Shirley Miller (Dale) and loving and favourite uncle to Wendy (the late Michael), Eddie (Sue) and Darlene (Dave). He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. A proud member of I.U.E.C. He loved to sing and dance including tap and the Hula. He was an avid sports enthusiast participating in many and loved to travel, especially visiting Ireland, his ancestral homeland. Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 25th from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, 1512 Kingston Rd., with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. A reception will be held in the church hall following the service. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to Parkinson Canada and/or the Canadian Cancer Society . A Celebration of Life will be held in Montreal at a later date, yet to be determined. –
