FUKUMOTO, Yoshio Wallace Passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital in his 90th year. He was born in British Columbia and moved to Ontario after WWII. He is survived by his wife Hiroko and by his daughters Brenda (John), Donna (Bob) and Hiroko’s daughters Wendy and Susan (Ralph). Predeceased by his parents Shoichi and Harue, his first wife Esther, brothers Kazuo, Kouji, Shinichi, brothers-in-law Toshizo, Gordon and Sado, sisters-in-law Agnes and Ryuko. Wally will be sadly missed by his brother Junji (Terrie) and in-laws Jeanne, Yukie, Nancy, Hiro, Sue and Mori. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Matthew (Robyn), Michael (Lindsay), Cameron, Midori, great-granddaughters Imogen, Violet and many nieces, nephews and their families. Wally was the Office Manager at Matthews Canada. He was a 50-year member at Glendale Golf and Country Club, Elder and Board Member of the Hamilton Japanese United Church, artist, Japanese calligrapher and member of the Administrative Management Society (AMS). Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Peter’s Hospital and CCAC. Friends will be received at GLEN OAKS FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (905-257-8822) on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at ST.
