Agostino Guglietti, 85, passed in peace Friday September 28, 2018 in the comfort of his home in Toronto, Ontario.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Luisa Guglietti, with whom he had a loving marriage for 56 years. He was a dedicated husband and father to his children, Stefania and Massimo. His loving and humorous spirit will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren: Cassandra, Christina, Daniella, Alexander, Massimo Jr. and Julia. He was born on July 19, 1933 in Terracina, Italy. At the age of nineteen, he served in the Italian army. Soon after Agostino and Luisa were married, they moved to Rome, Italy and started their family. There he worked as a marble mason until he, Luisa and their two children immigrated to Canada in 1968. An avid collector of fine watches and an admirable fisherman, Agostino also enjoyed supporting Roma and Lazio in “futbol” matches or Ferrari in Formula One racing. Although his family was convinced he was a competitive Tombola player, he did this to appease his family who enjoyed watching him bluff to win more dimes. In reality, he was an anecdotally wonderful billiards player. He will be dearly missed.
