Anne Margaret McDOUGALL

Anne Margaret McDOUGALL

McDOUGALL, Anne Margaret Anne Margaret McDougall passed away peacefully October 10, 2018 at Extendicare Mississauga where she had resided since February 2017. Anne was born April 23, 1923 on a farm near Langham, SK. Anne was the second youngest of 7 children and the only girl.

At age 22 Anne boarded a train by herself to Toronto where she spent the rest of her life. The love of Anne’s life was her second husband Bill (Mac) McDougall. Unfortunately they were only married for seven years when Mac passed away May 11, 1972. As Anne puts it, they only had seven years together but they were the best years of her life. Anne’s story is one of a farm girl from Saskatchewan who was able to make her way on her own in the big city of Toronto with a mixture of determination, stubborn will and drive for success. Anne always had a strong community commitment especially her involvement with teaching stamp collecting to both children and adults for many years.

Anne was interred with Mac at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Remembrances of Anne can be made through donations to the charity of one’s choice.
