BAIRION SISAVANA

SISAVANA, BAIRION It is with extreme sadness the family of Bairion Sisavana (Xayphone Vongdouangchanh) announce his death on February 28, 2021, at the Humber River Hospital, from liver and kidney complications, at the age of 47. Born in Laos and raised in Toronto, Bairion was a son, brother and uncle who loved his family and friends dearly. He had a big sense of humour and even bigger heart.
It brought great joy to him to volunteer at homeless shelters and make a difference. He had a talent and passion for cooking, with a 30-year career in the industry, and will always be remembered for his Fat Alberts. He worked hard and is a free spirit who will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his mom, Douangsavanh.
He leaves behind his dad, Somnuck, sisters, Leeza (Mitch), Bouachanh (Greg), Bea (Ian) and brother, Jack. He also leaves behind his godson and nephew, Edward, nephews, Mathew, Christian and Ethan, and nieces, Eva and Kim. He will be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A private ceremony to remember Bairion’s life will be held March 6 with a celebration to follow when public health measures allow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) or Fred Victor, in his honour.
