BURTNIAK, Victoria (nee Pobihushchy) June 23,1922 – October 21,2018 Passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Peter’s Hospital in her 96th year.
Predeceased by her husband Teodor (1995) and parents Steve and Josephine Pubihushchy. Loving mother to Terry, Mark (Iris), William “Vasyl” and George (Gloria). Adored grandmother to Natalie and Teddy.
Victoria was born in Togo, Saskatchewan along with six brothers and three sisters. Married in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. She was a hairdresser for 59 years in Banff, Winnipeg and Hamilton. Victoria was an active member of Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Parish and school, UCWL and PTA. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.

Visitation will be held at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, October 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be said at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection- 821 Upper Wentworth Street South on Friday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
