MARKS, CATHERINE (KAY) FRANCES Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at her home on Friday, December 11, 2020. Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend Walter. Cherished mother of Paul Marks, Cathy Marks Krpan (Tony), and MaryBeth Meszaros (Tom).
Proud grandmother of Matthew and Andrew. Predeceased by her sisters Mary, Rita, Rose, and Lee and brothers Michael, Leonard, and Joseph. She will always be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Kay was married to her wonderful husband Walter for 49 years. Their incredible marriage included lots of love, laughter, travel and many family gatherings. Kay always put others before herself and had a strong faith as she took on many leadership roles in the Catholic Women’s League.
In addition to her giving nature, she had boundless strength and energy. Nothing would slow her down. Golfing, shopping, travelling, and family gatherings were all met with enthusiasm. Kay had a great sense of humour and always found a way to find laughter in a situation. She will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place and a private family Funeral Mass will be held. A public celebration of Kay’s life will be held at a later date, notification of this will be made. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
