MORRISON, D. JEAN (nee MURCH) May 2, 1927 – October 17, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Jean, in her 92nd year.
Jean is survived by her three daughters Pat (Michael Gass), Lorri (Wayne Owens) and Lynne (Brian Lukshis). She will be dearly missed by her six grandchildren Jeff and Julie Gass, Christine and Brittany Pentland and Elizabeth and Deckard Lukshis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by our father and loving husband Don (1988), her three siblings Helen, Art and Doug and her parents Norman and Verda Murch.
Jean was a kind, sweet and selfless person always willing to listen and lend a helping hand. She lived a long and happy life. Jean enjoyed playing golf, tennis and bridge at The Thornhill Club and was an accomplished baker of decadent desserts. Most of all, Jean loved being a mother and a homemaker and spending time with family and friends.
We are very grateful for the tender care Jean received during the past year from her caregivers, especially Olivia, and to the Sunnybrook Palliative Care team.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of Jean’s life to be held at The Thornhill Club on Saturday, November 17th at 11:30 a.m.
