FOLKES, Gary Stephen Gary Stephen Folkes passed away peacefully, on Sunday, February 7, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by his beloved brother, Donald H. Folkes, and his parents, Harry and Jenny (Jane Moore) Folkes, Gary leaves behind his three nieces, Nancy Hillis, Tracy Folkes Hanson (Rob), and Kelly Lashley (Bill), seven great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great-niece and nephew.
He will be fondly remembered by his Moore and Folkes family and dearly missed by his friends, especially those from his church community, Greenwood Gospel Chapel. Gary was proud of working for Manulife for his entire career. He loved all sports and was very involved in the East York Hockey and Baseball clubs. Due to current precautions, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. His body was laid to rest at Highland Creek Memorial Gardens on February 17th.
