Dear son of the late Rev. Henry Gillingham and the late Emma Ashton, brother to the late Ashton Gillingham, Loving husband to the late Willy-Marie Gillingham (VanderWal). Remembered by his sister Cynthia Adams (Glenn), his children Rosemary (Luis), Debbie, Andrew (Melissa), Charles; his grandchildren Dr. Mark, Amanda, Catherine, Henry, Cameron and Meghan; his great-grandchildren Ian and Andrew. Also survived by nephew Mark (Emily).
Herb enjoyed a long and successful career with Bell Canada. He touched many peoples live’s through his volunteer work with the Masons (Acacia Lodge 561) and Maxville Manor. He also enjoyed many hours on the air as an Advance Amateur Radio Licence Operator (BE3HRB).
Cremation services entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church in Moose Creek, ON.
