HUBERT CONSTANTINE ASHMAN

HUBERT CONSTANTINE ASHMAN

ASHMAN, HUBERT CONSTANTINE With great sadness we announce the passing of Hubert Constantine Ashman on Friday, January 15, 2021, at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan and son Ronald. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Elizabeth, son Lawrence (Melissa), daughter-in-law Cheryl, grandchildren Bennett, Justin and Chad (Leah). He will also be remembered by ex-wife Cynthia.

Hubert emigrated with his family from Jamaica to Toronto in the mid 1960’s. During the 60’s and 70’s, he worked as an electrician on many major construction projects in the GTA. After leaving the construction industry he would explore different business ventures. Aside from residing in countries like England, Canada, and the USA throughout his life, Hubert loved to travel the world. He had travelled to Europe and other islands in the Caribbean; he even travelled to Dubai which was one of his favorite trips of all time.

He would often say that traveling and experiencing new cultures was a great way to educate oneself about the world. Hubert had a strong will to live, he survived numerous strokes and was able to rehabilitate and gain back as much mobility as he could. He was an avid sports fan but also appreciated arts and enjoyed jokes.

Due to COVID-19, a private family ceremony will be held at Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery on Friday, January 22, 2021. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.arbormemorial.ca
