IANNETTA, Rosaria (nee Lucarelli) It is with profound sorrow and tremendous love in our hearts that we announce the passing of a cherished wife, mother and nonna, Rosaria. Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday, April 8, 2019 at the age of 70.

Beloved wife of Michele for 52 years. She will be forever in the hearts of her children Connie DiMartino (Angelo), Angelo (Rita) and Santina Merja (Genci). Cherished nonna of Michaela, Matthew, Taylen, Lucas and Adrianna. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life. Dear sister of Giuseppe Lucarelli (Cristina), Angela Venditti (Michele), late Nicola Lucarelli (Stella), Yolanda Marzilli (Arcangelo), late Crisantino Lucarelli (Palma), Aurora Amatuzio (Antonio), Fernando Lucarelli (Antonietta), Pierino Lucarelli (Rosetta), Fausto Lucarelli (Filomena), Livio Lucarelli (Susy) and Filomeno Lucarelli (Mena) and sister-in-law of Salvatore (Anna). Predeceased by her parents Domenico and Carolina Lucarelli of Italy, father-in-law Raffaele and mother-in-law Concetta Iannetta. Missed also by many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Italy.

Rosaria worked at Coppley’s Apparel in Hamilton where she made men’s suits for the past 20 years. She worked until last year. She loved life, her Italian culture, food, knitting, cats and family. We will miss her dearly.

The family would like to thank 7th floor Nephrology and the ICU staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the excellent care she received.

Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
