KOVICH, Anne (nee Sebalj) It is with sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Anne on Sunday, March 31, 2019 in her 89th year.
Predeceased by her husband John of 61 years. Loving and cherished mother to Linda (Mike), and Gerry (Michelle). Predeceased by Gerry’s late wife and Anne’s loving daughter-in-law Lisa. Much loved “Momma” of Jaclyn (Bill), Bobby, John (Lisa), Tammylee and Craig. Proud great-grandmother of Jace, Theron and Baeden. Survived by her loving brother Frank Sebalj, her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Anne’s true joy in life was being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an amazing cook and loved baking. She loved Croatian music and was a long time member of the Croatian National Home, where she built many life-long friendships playing with her musical group. Anne will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
The family wishes to thank the team at Kilean Lodge, nurses Anna, Katie and Sonya, P.S.W.s Patty and Lana as well as Jill and Rachel.
Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Croatian National Home Building Fund would be appreciated.
