MAGEE, Patrick J. Jeffrey “Jeff” 1926 – 2018 Beloved brother of Blitz (LeVien) (Joe and Grianne) and Florence Fowkes of the U.K. Predeceased by parents Geoff and Florence Magee and sisters Georgie Westmoreland and Peggy Swales. A loving friend to Pat Thomson of Hamilton for 22 years, (deceased 2007). Treasured friend and honorary family member of Val Thomson and Hubert Diks of Cambridge and their children Kyle, Lauren (Alex Petras) and Garrett.
Jeff was a down to earth great guy who could hold his own in any conversation from politics to history. He shared a long history of friendship with the “Bacchus Club” of Hamilton where he became quite an amateur sommelier. He loved to share his stories of the years he spent in the Arctic and his time as a Merchant Marine during the second World War.
Jeff worked in Hamilton for Westinghouse for many years and after retiring he met Pat by striking up a conversation about computers. We count ourselves lucky to have known Jeff. He will be missed at every family dinner and remembered fondly.
To honour Jeff’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at COUTTS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE , 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, Ontario N1S 1M8 (519)621-1650 on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
