Mel loved to share his stories about fishing, cooking and how he excelled at playing cards with his family and friends. “Famiglia” meant everything to him. Mel is survived by his daughter Nancy and son Larry, daughter-in-law Judith and granddaughters Katie and Emma. He will be sorrowfully missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, especially Janie, Lorraine and Gary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street W., Mississauga.

Mel will be buried with his beloved Albena at Mount Hope Cemetery in Toronto, on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Given Mel’s love of animals, donations to the Mississauga Humane Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
