AMARAL, Miguel Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his daughters at the Macassa Lodge, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of Maria da’ Estrela (nee Sousa) for 64 years. Loving father of Filomena and Manuel Roque, Deolinda Amaral, and Briolanja and Carlos Gomes. Dear avô of 13 grandchildren, dear bisavô of 27 great-grandchildren, and tataravô of 1 great-great-granddaughter. Predeceased by his parents, brothers, and sisters. Survived by his nieces and nephews in Canada and Azores, Portugal. Miguel will be missed by many friends in the Portuguese community. His love of wine and gardening will be carried on by his grandchildren. Many thanks to the staff at Macassa Lodge for their care and compassion. A special thank you to The Legion of Mary and to all those friends that kept him in their prayers.
