Nancy Davidson SCOTT

SCOTT, Nancy Davidson (nee CARROLL) Nancy died peacefully with her beloved husband George by her side.

She is survived by George, his son Jordan, Donna Liu and granddaughter Alexandra, nephews Angus and Scott Carroll and nieces Anne Devereaux and Barbara Chellew. She is also survived by Bob and Anne Scott and nieces Kari Anne Scaletta and Katrina Tavares and nephews, the Creed brothers, Ken, Fred and Doug. Nancy, “with the laughing face” is predeceased by her brother, the noted photojournalist and writer Jock Carroll and her sister Frances Creed. Her father Frank Carroll was one of two coaches, along with her uncle Dick, who won the first Stanley Cup with the Toronto Blue Shirts in 1914.

Nancy worked for many years with MacLaren Advertising in Toronto and London, England for the President. She joined Maple Leaf Sports Productions, coordinating all NHL hockey broadcasts on location in Canada and the US. Nancy also served on the Board of City Park, Canada’s largest Co-op, and was the Editor of LINK, the complex’s magazine for several years. Nancy will be sorely missed by the many fans and friends she made over her long and eventful life, not least by her BFF of 60 years, Mary Kahn. Special thanks to all the staff at The Toronto Grace Hospital 6th floor and the TGH ICU. They were so caring and compassionate to us both. Cremation has taken place. Nancy will rest at Toronto’s Necropolis. An informal memorial is planned for a later date.

If desired, a donation in Nancy’s name can be made to the charity of your choice. Fond remembrances will be welcomed at ga.scott@outlook.com
