O’BRIEN, Marlene (neé Collins) After a lengthy battle with cancer, Marlene passed away on October 15, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton.
Beloved wife and best friend of Matt. Loving mom of Mike (Kayla Mooney). Remembered with love by her mother-in-law Loretta O’Brien (Clifford – deceased). Sadly missed by her cousins Stephen and Barry Clements, Diana and Bryan Hodson. Adored by her many nieces and nephews. Marlene was predeceased by her parents Ron and Shirley Collins, and her sister Sherry Hill. Marlene was a well-respected Human Resource Professional with Environment Canada and the Department of National Defense.
We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of 3rd Floor, Juravinski Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital, 3 West, for the exceptional care and compassion given to Marlene and the family.
Visitation will be held at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME – Burlington Chapel (2241 New Street at Drury Lane, 905-637-5233) on Thursday, October 25th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 8:30 p.m.
