PATRICIA FRANCES MINES

MINES, PATRICIA FRANCES (nee LENNON) March 4, 1942 – September 10, 2018 Patricia, avid skier and golfer, fitness and travel enthusiast, passed away peacefully at Dorothy Ley Hospice after a 10-month battle with cancer that she endured with strength, humour, and above all, grace.

Patricia and her loving husband Leonard recently celebrated 55 years of marriage. Len, along with Valerie (Dan Mansell) and Maureen (Mark Holman), Patricia’s beloved daughters, and her cherished grandchildren, Cole and Cameron Bettam and Maeve Holman, will forever honour the memory of Patricia’s unique blend of patience, industriousness and playfulness. Patricia is survived by her siblings, James (Louise), John, and Colleen (Ed MacKay), and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Kenneth Mines (Marilyn). Patricia will be sadly missed by her family and her treasured friends in Montreal, Toronto, Naples, Florida and St. George’s and Imperial Golf Clubs.

The family wishes to thank Dr. J. Zive and the staff and volunteers of the Dorothy Ley Hospice. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Kipling and Islington Aves.), Etobicoke, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor St. W., Etobicoke, on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be appreciated (www.dlhospice.org).
