JOHNSON, Roger James June 2, 1948 – December 9, 2020 Passed peacefully on December 9, 2020 at the Newmarket Health Center in Newmarket, ON in his 73rd Year. Roger was the cherished partner of Gail Langley, proud father of Susan (Greg) and Steven (Amy), loving Grandfather to Tyler, Abigail, Victoria, Sarah and Elliot. Roger was the eldest son of the late Isabel and John Johnson and Brother of Malcolm Johnson.
Roger was an educated man who, soon after graduating from Ryerson University in Toronto, ON, began what became a very successful career in sales at McLeish Containers. Roger was an avid sports fan. One could always find him watching “the game” and he never turned away the chance to be on the hockey bench with his son. Roger was a dedicated father, a loyal friend, and always left a lasting impression on those he encountered. He will be remembered fondly by all those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life and, although his last years were not as full as one would hope for, the memories of Roger will live on in all that loved him.
