MYRKA, WALTER On October 9, 2018, at age 65, Walter reached the end of a long and courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife Jane Morley and his cherished children Paul and Alex. Devoted sisters Helen Wasilishin (Ron) and Alexandra Wylie (Brian) grieve his loss. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Maria Myrka and also by his brother-in-law John Morley (Wendy). He will be sorely missed by his nephews, his Ricker relatives and his brother-in-law David Morley (Judi).
Walter was a committed husband and father and lived life to the fullest, exposing his family to many new experiences. He dedicated much of his life to sharing his love of the outdoors with his sons. Walter lived in and loved Toronto but found a second home in Muskoka in recent years. After a long and fulfilling career at the Ministry of Attorney General’s Crown Law Office Civil, Walter retired three years ago. The family wishes to thank everyone who supported him throughout his illness.
Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
