WARD, James R. James passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, March 27 in his 41st year, following a strong and courageous fight with cancer. He will be sorely missed by his loving wife, Sindy Houle, and their children Caroline and Jacob; his parents Christopher and Carol (Hunter); his sister Maggie, brother-in-law Steve (Lott) and their children Trevor and Bree; his surviving grandmother, Phyllis Hunter (Rankin); in-laws Denis Houle and family, Carole Malo and family, Louis Brochu and family, Raphael Brochu (Marie-Claire) and their children Livia, Nikola and Thomas, Christel Brochu (Maxime); all his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins: and his many dear friends.

James was born in Hamilton at MUMC and grew up near Rockton. He attended Beverly Central, Dr. John Seaton, Parkside High School and Sheridan College. He established his IT business, WardNet Inc., and also partnered with Chris in his health consulting business, Ward Health Inc. James enjoyed his work, which took him around the world and offered wonderful opportunities for his love of golf and sporting events. He maintained close relationships with his lifelong friends.

In 2012, he married Sindy, the love of his life, and was welcomed into a new circle of family and friends. He was a devoted father to Caroline and Jacob, giving them opportunities for great fun and a beautiful sense of wonder.

A celebration of his life will be held at Beverly Golf and Country Club on Sunday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., eulogy at 2 p.m. Special thanks to Dr. Major and the staff of Juravinski Cancer Centre.
