WHITE, Charlie It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlie White at The Villages of Wentworth Heights Long Term Care Facility in Hamilton, on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in his 92nd year. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by parents Edward White and Margaret (nee Glendenning), siblings Bill White, Donald White and Janet (nee Larabie) – all predeceased. Charlie wed Viola Kennedy (predeceased) in 1948. Left to cherish his memory are children Marlene (Brenda Lisson), Fred (Louise Woodcroft) and Jeff (Zmaro Papazoglou), four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren from this first marriage. Charlie is also survived by his second wife Beverly (nee Leeming) and will be lovingly remembered by her and the entire Leeming family: children Dawn (John Little-predeceased), Helen (Dave Leckie), Laurie (predeceased), (George Penfold and Colleen Myerscough), Fred Leeming (Irene), Joanne (Grant French), Jennifer (Jim Radix), Julia (Jeff Wood), 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. You will always be in our heart because in there you’re still alive.
At his request there will be no funeral service but rather a private Celebration of Life for family and close friends on Sunday, April 7th at 33 Bowen Restaurant in Hamilton. 33 Bowen St. L8N 3Y6. Website 33Bowen.ca. Please drop by from 1 – 4 p.m. for some refreshments and to share your memories. At 2:30 p.m. there will be a brief presentation to honour Charlie. If anyone would like to share a memory at that time, we would invite you to do so.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Charlie to the Alzheimer’s Society of Hamilton /Halton.
