A. STANLEY BOYD A. Stanley Boyd, 88, of Tavistock and formerly of Scarborough passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 17, 2016. He was born in Toronto on February 15, 1928, a son of the late Albert Harry Boyd and the former Olive Madeline Ford. He had taught at Winston Churchill Collegiate in Scarborough, was a member of Tavistock Men’s Club and a member of Stratford Model Club for radio controlled airplanes. He had resided in Scarborough until moving to Tavistock in 1989. Stan is survived by his wife, the former Audrey Mary Wilson, whom he married in Toronto on September 8, 1951; three daughters, Karen (Joe) Bojin of Shelburne, Laurie (Andrew) Weldon, Calgary, AB; and Kathy (Tom) Bickle, RR 6, Woodstock; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Staci) Bojin, Chris Weldon, Stacey Weldon, Vikki Weldon, Mike Weldon, Erin (Dave) Munro and Laura (Jesse) Harold; five great-grandchildren, Nash, Cade, Claire, Crew and Reid. He was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry (Betty) Boyd and Ken (Pat) Boyd. Visitation at Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock, on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. where a service to celebrate the life of Stan will be held at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Richard P. Brown will officiate. Reception following.
