BARBARA HERDY Passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in her house surrounded by family, friends, and the “hounds”. Loving wife of Harry Herdy (predeceased 2014) and survived by children Alec, Marianne and Kenneth; grandchildren Natasha Laing Herdy, Lynsey, Morgan and Merek Bialkowski; sisters-in-law Olga and Elsie (nee Herdy). Aunt to Patricia, Linda and Paula (nee Porznak). The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Virpi Halttu, Raymond Demond and Dawn Ivanko. Special thanks to Dr. Howard Claskey, Maureen, Maureen, Marica, Briana, Sonja, “Sunshine” et al who made her wish possible. Heartfelt appreciation is also extended to the many friends who took the time to visit Barbara during her closing of life. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Knox United Church, 2569 Midland Ave., Scarborough. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ogden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Knox United Church.
