At the age of 100, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 14, 2016 at his home in Toronto, Ontario. Predeceased by loving spouse Maria Pitruzzella (nee Fazio). Devoted father to Fifina and her husband Pasquale. Nonno will be deeply missed by his loving grandchildren Alessia and Daniel. Gaetano will be dearly missed by his extended family in Canada, Italy and Belgium. A very special thank you to Dr. Tai, for all of the compassion and care he showed towards Gaetano and his late spouse Maria over the many years. Family and Friends will be received at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto (1 block east of Dufferin St.) on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at St. Clare’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. (1118 St. Clair Ave. W.). Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St.).
