H. JOHN ANTHONY McDONALD May 27, 1931 – February 27, 2017 Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Ajax Hospital, beloved husband to Ann Cecile (nee Boissonneault) for 54 years. Loving father to Andrew (Juliet), Laura (Rick), Jennifer (John) and Gregory. Cherished Pépé to Sarah, Mary, Leslie, Christopher, Patrick, Megan, David and Matthew. Special brother-in-law to Bernice Yetman and Alice Boissonneault and cousin to Helen L. Carroll. John was a Chief Stationary Engineer who dedicated his life to the Toronto Board of Education for 30 plus years. His free time was spent puttering, gardening and spending time with family. John will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for his ever-present smile and sense of humour by family and longtime friends. Thank you to the special staff in the Emergency Department and the 4th floor, west wing, for all their care and thoughtfulness. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Etobicoke. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, 277 Royal York Rd., Etobicoke.
