Marie JUG
JUG, Marie 77, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 3, 2017 at Hamilton General Hospital. Marie was a Mother, Grandmother, and Friend to all who met her. She always did for others and had so much thoughtfulness behind each of her gifts. Marie really loved her grandchildren. Each summer and winter, she would travel to Chicago to spend time with her son and his family. She was such a fun grandma and loved watching cartoons and playing games and colouring with her 2 granddaughters. She was an avid bingo player and caller for many years. She enjoyed going to the movies at Jackson Square at least once a week, if not twice and especially with her daughter and grandson or her close friend Carol. Her Tim Hortons always had a special sandwich waiting for her…they knew just how she liked it and enjoyed spending countless hours with her close friends there. Finding deals was so exciting for her. She loved shopping at the Thrift Store and loved when she scored a shirt that was “like new!” Marie had such a zest for life and will be missed by so many near and far. Marie was preceded in death by her Mother, Dorothy Wyhinny and Father, William Wyhinny, her boyfriend of many years, Paul Schall, and lifetime friend Stanley Jug. Marie is survived by her daughter, Dorrie Ann Jug of Hamilton, her son and daughter-in-law, William Jug (Julie), of Sugar Grove, Illinois, and four grandchildren, Nathan, Nigel, Delaney and Macey. Per her request, there will be no services at this time. (Arrangements entrusted to Dodsworth & Brown, 905-522-2496)
