Margaret Jean MITCHELL
MITCHELL, Margaret Jean January 26, 1939 – August 6, 2016 At Emmanuel House on Saturday, August 6, 2016, it is with deep sadness that we announce that Margaret has passed away in peace and with such grace. Loving and devoted mom to Robin (Kevin), Allyson and Jennifer. Loved Grande to her ‘little one’ Laurelle and Logan. Much loved sister of Doreen (Ron), Eleanor (Hugh), Bill (Penny), Bob (Lil), Bernie (Joanne), Ron (Val, predeceased), Doug (Marilyn) and Walt (Sue). Cherished Aunt and Great-Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Margaret and William Arnold, and spouse, Campbell Mitchell. Margaret spent her career in the health industry, in particular the dental and medical environments. Margaret’s alliance with many national dental management companies gave her the opportunity to work with numerous practices and lend her expertise to many in the industry. And as a result, we all have great teeth! We would like to express our sincere love and thanks for all of the kindness and support both mom and we have been graced with during this journey. Mom has always been surrounded by loving friends and family, and that was ever visible each and every day. To Emmanuel House, we thank you for your great caring and compassion. For taking the time to be with our mom, share in a story and of course always in a good laugh. Each and every one of you touched mom with your kindness, our ice cream friend held in highest regard! Special thanks to Brad, Jason and Krista for your extraordinary kindness on Saturday, it will never be forgotten. To Dr. Nash, your bond with Mom was life long – thank you. In lieu of donations, celebrate Margaret by paying it forward to a child that needs. May it be a donation to a cause or simply volunteering at school – the ‘little ones’ are important and always need an extra hand. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel’, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Thursday, August 11 from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Memorial Service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held in the Marlatt Dundas Chapel on Friday, August 12 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
