Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on July 3rd, 2016 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her loving husband Wilfred and by her daughter Linda. Loving mom of Sandy (Tom). Loving mother-in-law of Bill. Adored Nanny of Michelle (Kent), Danny (Sheri) and Bryan (Tara). Great Gramma of Cassie, Karli, Ashton, Landon, Roberta and Cole. Freda will be dearly missed by many close friends and other relatives. Thanks to the professionalism of Durham EMS, Oshawa Fire Department and the ICU staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their efforts. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff of Centennial Retirement Residence (Chartwell) for taking such good care of Freda for the past 2 ½ years-words cannot express. A Celebration of Freda’s Life will take place at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, July 8th at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations would be greatly accepted for SickKids Foundation.
