MacLELLAN, Muriel Anne (nee Sheffield) Peacefully at Willowgrove on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in her eighty- eighth year, Muriel Anne MacLellan (nee Sheffield) passed away. Pre- deceased by her parents Mae and Jim Sheffield, brother Clifford (Bernice) Sheffield and by her beloved husband Johnny, married forty-four years. She leaves behind her daughter Sandra (Augie) Ammendolia and son David W. MacLellan, four grandchildren Sarah, Carlo, John Michael and Stephanie will be remembered by her brother Sydney (Mary) as well as nephew Glen (Laurie) and nieces Kathy (John) and Dianne (Jean). Mom had a deep devotion to her Christian beliefs. She was a long time member of Eastmount Presbyterian Church (Trinity). Muriel was known for her love of the Arts, organizing outings with her friends to attend concerts, theatre and the ballet. Mom had great flair when it came to celebrating our family birthdays and holidays. Mom’s most favourite activity was to spend time at Hamilton’s Bayfront and enjoy a dessert at Williams Cafe with family and friends. Special thanks to all her caregivers and nurses of Battlefield Park section of Willowgrove Long Term Care Residence for their kind, compassionate and exceptional care. Thank you mom for all the wonderful memories you have given us. At Muriel’s request cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers sending a donation to the Willowgrove Palliative Care Fund, 1217 Old Mohawk Road W., Ancaster L9K 1P6 in memory of Muriel MacLellan would be appreciated by the family.
