July 9, 1930 – December 6, 2018. Peacefully in her 89th year at the Houses of Providence Long Term Care. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Mary Burke, her siblings, Herbert (1982), Sheila Bissessar (1993) (Dr. Rammaraise (2014), the Most Rev. Lawrence Burke S.J. (2010) and nephew Benjamin De Luca (2015). Survived by her sisters, Barbara Burke and Cynthia Stewart (George). Loving Aunt of Stephen and Anthony Bissessar, Michael Stewart (Julie) and nieces Sharon Philbrick (Michael) and Jennifer (Sylvio DeLuca); their children Matthew and Sophie Stewart, Mackenzie and Meagan Philbrick, Jacob and Madeline Deluca. Marjory migrated from St. Andrew, Jamaica to Toronto in 1979 where she worked until retirement in 1995 as an Executive Secretary at the Head Office of Scotiabank.
Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 at the Church of the Canadian Martyrs, 522 Plains Road. (at Woodbine Ave.), East York from 10:30 a.m. to the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged.
