BOYD, Douglas, W.P.G . Sadly, Doug passed away on December 26, 2018 at the age of 67 in Saskatoon.
He will be forever missed and loved by his wife of 44 years, Mary Jane (nee McAlpine) and their children Nathan, Lindsay and Chelsea and six grandchildren, all of Saskatoon, as well as Mary Jane’s siblings and extended family in the Hamilton area. Predeceased by his parents Al and Sadie Boyd, and survived by sisters Carol and Betty.
Doug grew up in Hamilton and was a graduate of Westdale High School and University of Guelph. In 1974, Doug and Mary Jane moved to Saskatchewan where he attended Bible College, and served as an ordained minister in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Eleuthera, Bahamas. A career change led him to a teaching position with the Saskatoon Board of Education, retiring as principal in 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 19th in Saskatoon.
