ANDREY (ANDY) DOLENC November 28, 1944 – May 12, 2017 Andrey died peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a tough battle with cancer. A celebration of life and Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 739 Browns Line, Etobicoke, at 11 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 . A visitation will commence at 10 a.m. with a reception and lunch following the Mass to be held in the church hall. His adventurous spirit will be missed. Andrey always placed the needs of others above his own. Teaching by example as well as his dedication to his family, friends and the outdoors were important to him. He was generous and honest with everyone. Andrey is survived by his wife Draga and was the proud father of Gregory (Kelly), Francis (Caitlin), Marjan (Keri), Andrey (Annemarie), Irena (Michael) and John (Millie) and his grandchildren Luke, Alexandra, Max, Nathan, Matthew, George and Maya. He was predeceased by his loving parents Aloiz (1985) and Marjana (2004) and brother Michael (2015) and will be greatly missed by his siblings Vida (Mike), Rafaela (William), Marija, Lloyd (Mary), Bernadine (Hannu), Marko (Julia) and Veronica (Rohan). Andrey will also be fondly remembered by his eighteen nieces and nephews, nine grandnieces and ten grandnephews and by his extended family and friends in Canada, Slovenia, Italy and France. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his honour to a charity of your choice. May he rest in everlasting peace.
