April 4, 1936 – May 19, 2017
In loving memory of Shirley Horton, a longtime resident of Aurora, Ontario and active member of her community for many years. Shirley passed away peacefully and gracefully from natural causes in her 82nd year with her family by her side on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontario. Shirley is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph Robert Horton, five children and their respective families; Laura, Catherine, Joseph, Paul and Sarah and her only sibling, Marlene (Jim) Bowman. Shirley will be fondly and lovingly remembered by all who knew her and we will all hold her dear in our hearts forever and always. Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway S., Aurora (905 727-5421) on Wednesday, May 24 from 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15347 Yonge Street, Aurora on Thursday, May 25 at 10 a.m. Interment Aurora Cemetery.
