DOBBS, Mary Lou (nee Cook) Passed away, October 15, 2017 in Toronto at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late Walter ‘Bruce’ Dobbs. Missed dearly by daughters Kathy and Jennifer (John); grandchildren Tim and Mike; sister-in-law Dorothy Bowes (nee Dobbs); and nieces and nephews. Lou graduated from Belleville Collegiate Institute then attended Peterborough Teacher’s College. She and Bruce spent the majority of their married life in Toronto. Lou showed remarkable strength and spirit while living with Parkinson’s disease for more than 15 years. Her positive attitude allowed her to enjoy a very full life. A Celebration of Lou’s Life will be held on Friday, October 27th at 1 p.m. at the Belleville Club, 200 Pinnacle St., Belleville, ON. As per Lou’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be held for family and close friends at noon at Belleville Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made in her memory at Parkinson Canada.
