Passed away peacefully in his 84th year on July 2, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Pina, with whom he has shared over 57 years of marriage. Loving father of Gianni (Lisa), Gaspare, and Tony, and cherished Nonno of Cecilia.
Lorenzo is predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Marianna (nee Curto) Mattina, as well as by his parents-in-law Gaspare and Concetta Campanella. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers Carmelo (Anna Maria), Nick (Rosa), and Angelo (Deb). Predeceased by his brother Salvatore (Lina) and by his brother-in-law Calogero (Maria) Guagliano. Lorenzo is also survived, and will be deeply missed, by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Our family wishes to thank the medical staff at Hamilton Health Sciences, for all of the care and compassion they have demonstrated over the past year.
Visitation will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., on Wednesday, July 7th from 2-7 p.m. All guests are required to RSVP on Lorenzo’s tribute page at www.friscolanti.com or by calling the funeral home at 905-522-0912. A private Funeral Service will be offered on Thursday, July 8, 2021, followed by a private entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, in Burlington.
