Quirico D’AMICO

Quirico D’AMICO

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Quirico D’Amico on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the age of 88. Quirico was born in the small town of Cisternino, Italy on February 28, 1933 and immigrated to Hamilton in 1964 in pursuit of a better life for his wife and twin children. He was a dedicated, hard working and loving husband, father, nonno and biznonno, and the patriarch of our family. Dad was devoted to his family and loved good food, his vegetable and flower garden, and playing Italian card games.

He leaves behind his loving wife Angela, children Peter D’Amico (Debbie) and Rose Linton (Douglas). His legacy will live on in his grandchildren Lisa Sholer (Christopher), Christina Linton, Heather Stribbell (Steven), Jennifer Hellinga (Alex), Matthew D’Amico (Denise), great-grandchildren Evelyn and Juliette Sholer, Logan and Norah Stribbell, and Matteo D’Amico. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Maria D’Amico (Francesco, deceased) and nephews Peter and Ryco D’Amico and their families, as well as many relatives in Italy and England. He will be missed by his many friends, commari and compari. Dad, your loss will be greatly felt by all of us, but we are comforted by knowing you are in a better place. Sempre Nei Nostri Cuori (Forever in our Hearts).

A private service will be held for his immediate family at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, Rymal Road, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
