With her family by her side on Saturday, January 16, 2021 Darlene Jones passed away peacefully at home in her 70th year.
Beloved partner to William ‘Bill’ Robertson the past 17 years. Cherished and loving mother to Sean Anthony Szutka and his fianceé Christine Reinfort. Dear step-mother to Nancy Marchant (Darryl and family) and Mark Robertson (Jennifer and family). Darlene is survived by her mother June Edna Alicia Lawrence and her siblings Tonia Yvette Christie (James and family), Cheryl Angela Steele (Robert and family), and Sharon Cindy Bearpark (Robert, predeceased).
Predeceased by her father Wilfred Samuel Jones and sister April Alicia Jones. She will be lovingly remembered by David Ward Krell, Peter Szutka, Amanda Crouchman (and family), Shannon Jones Stark (and family), and her many many friends. Darlene was born in Essex, England and moved to Canada in 1959, living in Dartmouth, NS and moving to the Dundas, ON area in 1964. After the birth of her son in 1972, Darlene began a lifetime of experience in finance, starting as a teller at the TD Bank on King Street in Dundas and culminating with her certification with the Canadian Securities Institute in 2013.
She enjoyed volunteering in her community with many years of service at Carpenter Hospice in Burlington and The Burlington Lions Club Farmers Market. Darlene’s greatest joy was cruising the world with her partner Bill. Private cremation has taken place.
