DR. PILIBOS AKCASU

AKCASU, DR. PILIBOS Passed away on September 6, 2018, at North York General Hospital (NYGH), after 100 years of a life well lived.

An excellent listener and pragmatic thinker, he always demonstrated integrity in his actions and prudence in his choices. He served in Erzincan State Hospital during his two years as Sub- Lieutenant in the Turkish Army and acted as Chief of Cardiology and Internal Medicine for twenty-five years at Holy Saviour Armenian Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. He also served the community in his private practice, taking care to ensure that every patient received diligent and dedicated support. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Verjin, his children Arpi and Harutyun (Art) and his grandchildren Brian, Alexia and Philip, as well as, family, friends and members of the Armenian community, both in Canada and Turkey. May he rejoice in joining his parents (Artin and Nazen) and siblings (Verjin, Bercuhi, Niver), predeceased.

There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church (HTAAC) for family and friends.
