GOYAKOVICH, Hedy Passed away peacefully in her 94th year at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter and her brother Stefan Wild of Innsbruck, Austria. Hedy will be sadly missed by her sister Leopoldine Bokor of Burlington, nephew Henry (Karen) and family of Burlington, Wild family of Innsbruck, Starivlah family of Burlington, and Goyakovic family of Burlington and Chicago, Illinois. She will also be greatly missed by longtime friend Arthur Duncan of Van Nueys, California. This gentle spirit will be greatly missed by her neighbours and all who knew her.
Hedy was a very active member of the Burlington Footnotes and Company, and choir member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Burlington. A special thank you to Peggy Oriold, longtime travel agent and friend, for her assistance and compassion, and also to her sister Giselle Whyte.
In keeping with Hedy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Funeral Service will be held. The family invites all to join them for a reception at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held at Burlington Memorial Gardens at a later date.
