HERLICK, LORRAINE November 18, 1934 – February 24, 2021 Lorraine passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021. Beloved wife of David for almost 66 years. Loving mother of Sandra Herlick and Jack Frieberg, Stephen and Vivi, and Richard and Robin Shear.
A fantastic Bubby to Adam and Sara, Mathew and Lindsay, Seth and Sarah, Orly and Daniel, Justin, Forrest, Sarah, and Aaron. Proud great-grandmother of Emunah, Rina, Chana, Ezzy, Mia and Hannah. Cherished daughter of the late Sam and Celia Rotman. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Marci Daiter and Aaron Rosenthal, Ronnie and Linda Rotman, and Tobe Blumenstein. Lorraine’s love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was endless and her eyes would light up whenever she saw them. She had the biggest heart. Lorraine had a long and meaningful career as a social worker with Circle of Care, and was a devoted volunteer with National Council of Jewish Women.
She was a passionate duplicate bridge player, loved playing mahj and bowling, and made friends wherever she went. She lived a full and contented life. Our deepest thanks to her amazing caregivers, Mari, Elsa, Honey and Haydee. You cared for her with so much love and enabled her to live with dignity. Lorraine taught her family about resilience, and gave us roots and wings. She will be deeply missed. A family graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
